America’s great cities have been explored from every conceivable angle by modern artists, but there is still room for fresh inspiration in photographic art like this.  Photographer Michael Shainblum has created a wild new style of urban timelapse photography using a mirrored editing technique.  He has produced a collection of kaleidoscopic timelapse cityscapes of cities like Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Las Vegas.  He has blended them together into a single timelapse video called “Mirror City”, a piece of video artwork that yields “a plethora of visual stimulation”, in the words of the artist himself.  Enjoy the video above, and analyze the details in the gallery below.  [via thisiscolossal]
