An Israeli family living abroad calls this beach retreat home when visiting their native country. The Beach Retreat by Pitsou Kedem Architects is a stunning contemporary home that is fully open to its tropical beach environment. As the family and their guests arrive, the floor-to-ceiling windows adjacent to the patio are rolled into the wall, providing an open pavilion-style connection with the home’s breezy beach setting. With the Mediterranean just steps away from the deck, it’s difficult to find a more relaxing locale on this stretch of the Israeli coast. The look of the home is composed mostly of right angles and long stretches of interior space. Its exterior is mostly cool concrete with wooden accents, including natural wooden blinds and a stained deck wrapped around a calm lap pool. Its interior is bright and open with modern furnishings and a clear separation between entertainment and private areas. The focal point of this home is its open living section which begins indoors and ends at the beach. There is no clear separation between in and out unless the occupants desire it. This beach retreat, named the Herzelia Pituah House, was completed last year by Pitsou Kedem Architects View in gallery View in gallery View in gallery View in gallery
